  • By evaluating the current potential in the railway sector and forecasting future needs, Aykal İnşaat has made strategic developments in locomotive supply, maintenance and repair services.
  • In this regard, important steps have been taken towards the increasing need for railway transportation by analyzing the number and average age of locomotives in the inventory of TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş. and the private sector.
  • In particular, as a result of the cooperation with CRRC, a world leader based in China, distributorship, maintenance, repair and spare parts supply rights were obtained in Turkey, the European Union (EU) and Tanzania for the world’s most powerful locomotive in its class with a power of 7200 KW, featuring dual (electric-diesel) use.
  • These locomotives have TSI certification and are suitable for both Turkish and EU markets.
  • Aykal Construction has reached an agreement on CRRC Dalian leasing approval and has introduced flexible and result-oriented financing models for the sale of locomotives in Turkey, the EU and Tanzania.
  • In addition, the company plans to add 5 7200 KW locomotives to its portfolio and lease these vehicles to the private sector in Turkey.
  • With this move, it is aimed to support private railway transport companies and to increase the efficiency and share of railway transport in the general transport sector.
  • With the sales, maintenance and spare parts supply of the locomotives in question, Aykal Construction aims to make a high value-added contribution to the Turkish economy by using the opportunities and capabilities it has as a local and national company.
